We hold the G3 qualification required by law to work on unvented systems, so you can be confident the work is carried out correctly and safely - not all plumbers are qualified to work on unvented cylinders, and attempting this without the right certification is illegal.

Unvented Cylinder Annual Servicing

Unvented hot water cylinders operate under mains pressure, which makes regular servicing a legal requirement - not just a recommendation. An annual service must be carried out by a G3 qualified engineer and includes:

• Full check of all safety controls and thermostats
• Inspection and test of the temperature and pressure relief valve
• Pressure vessel (expansion vessel) check and top-up where required
• Check of the pressure reducing valve
• Visual inspection of pipework and connections

Keeping on top of this servicing is essential. Unvented cylinders that are not maintained correctly can become a serious safety risk. We'll provide full documentation after every visit.
